Endurance is a short 3D demo created as a study project, focusing on the conception and execution of a cinematic CGI sequence. The project explores the visual language of science fiction, using space, scale, lighting, and atmosphere to create a sense of distance, mystery, and discovery.
The goal was to build a complete 3D scene from concept to final render, while developing a stronger understanding of CGI workflows, camera movement, animation, and lighting.
I was responsible for the full creation of the demo, including:
Concept development
3D modelling and scene setup
Planet and environment creation
Composition and camera work
Lighting and material design
Animation setup
Rendering and final visual direction
The project was an end-to-end 3D exercise, giving me control over both the technical workflow and the final cinematic look.
The concept centers around the exploration of unknown planets and distant worlds. I wanted to create a scene that feels quiet, atmospheric, and slightly mysterious, inspired by the scale and visual drama of classic space imagery.
Endurance demonstrates my ability to work beyond static design and develop a fully composed 3D visual experience. The project shows my understanding of spatial composition, lighting, visual storytelling, and technical production within a CGI workflow.
